About the Designer

I live and breathe for anything creative! My home is in beautiful middle Tennessee where inspiration always abounds. With  two grown and one almost grown children, a dog (who thinks he is one of the kids), and a sweet hubby who puts up with my creative eccentricities, life is usually "exciting".  I have always been a "creative type" who loves color, textures and clean lines and seem to keep myself busy all the time with my creative goodies. 

Baubles and Pearls handcrafted artisan jewelry is carefully designed and crafted by me alone in my studio using a variety of materials from rare to common.  My designs reflect my personality, spanning the range of casual and relaxing, eclectic and exciting, formal but not too stuffy, and just plain comfortable to wear anytime.  I welcome your comments on my current designs and recommendations on new designs.

About My Jewelry

People often ask..."How did you get into making jewelry?" 

It all began with two handmade multi tiered designer necklaces that I bought at a department store that I dearly loved.  They quickly became my favorite necklaces because of their beautiful intense color but more importantly that they fit my (plus size!) neck and frame.

When I wanted others similar, I realized the department store didn't carry that designer or style any longer.  While at one of my favorite crafty places, I found similar beads and realized that I could dissect the necklaces and re-create them in different colors.  My friends started noticing my necklaces and thought I should make them to sell.... that is all it took.  Baubles and Pearls became my second passion in life right behind my sewing and embroidery.  Soon they swapped places and I was hooked on beading.  When I was producing more jewelry than I could give away, I turned to my other career as a webmaster and decided to put them on a website.  That is how I got here!

I think you will like my jewelry for several reasons.  First, everything is designed by me, handmade by me and inspected by me. Second, my jewelry is fully customizable just to fit your specifications.  Need it a little longer or shorter? Like the design but need it in a different color?  Want Sterling Silver or 14K gold instead of our standard Silverplate and Goldplate? Just ask when you place your order for a custom quote.  Unless the change requires a lot of time or extra expense in materials, there is usually no charge for customizing.

Finally, my fine jewelry line is unique.  Each piece of my fine jewelry is created just for you and only when you order it. Want to create your own special design? You may order a copy of one of my designs, change a few details of one or completely design a new piece from the beads and findings you see on our site.  Occasionally I will put some of my samples up for sale when the demand for them has past or if the components are no longer available.
